To carry the sun

I’m an actor, writer, and director hailing from Petaluma, California. After spending fifteen years savoring those golden hills, I moved to Tokyo, Japan where I finished my high school education at an international school.

I take my multicultural background not seriously at all, and casually let it inform my living and practice. My name however, is my prophecy. It tells me to build, cultivate, transform— and as the name suggests, illuminate.

I love to get my hands dirty, and I am known for getting in trouble on set for for standing up when they say all hands on deck. Ultimately, I am an artist named Sol Smith and I live up to my name.

I am based in New York City and Tokyo and am set to graduate from Pace University with a BFA in Acting this Spring.
